WHERE DO WE GO?
Rides take place on trails within and surrounding Vancouver and all rides are manageable for even the most novice rider. Locations include Pacific Spirit Park, Delta Watershed, Seymour Conservation Area, Alice Lake in Squamish and Stanley Park. We also offer overnight camping trips, locations TBD by TFKV and School Teachers.
WHEN DO THE RIDES HAPPEN?
Our spring rides program will begin in early May and continue until the end of June. Rides can be booked Monday through Friday and we can accommodate times according to each individual class’s school days or after school programming. Half day, full day, overnight and weekend rides are all possible.
COST
Through fundraising and donations, TFKV is able to keep its overhead costs quite low and therefore we are able to provide school rides at a subsidy. School rides contributions can be negotiated according to school budgets.

TFK recruits youth aged 14-17 for our Youth Leadership Club. This club is exciting, flexible, and a great experience for those interested in exploring “out of the box” career options! This is your chance to learn about a whole new world of opportunities, and spend time exploring the forests and mountains around BC on a mountain bike.
The best part is – it’s totally FREE!
We offer youth the option to build skills in many different areas, including bike mechanics, sustainable trail-building (and jump building!), coaching/sport psychology/nutrition, and any other related ideas. Our club members let us know what they’re interested and we try to make it happen!
The group meets approximately once a week with a chance to go on a camping trip (or two!) as well.
The TFK Leaders act as our ambassadors within the community- look for them (in bright green t-shirts) at events across the Lower Mainland, and out on the trails!

Leaders Club Takes Crankworx By Storm!… literally
The TFK Leaders Club hit up Whistler last week for our annual Crankworx Camping Trip. The weather may have been wet but we had a great time playing around in the Lost Lake trail system, swimming, watching Ryan’s show, and eating way too many cliff bars (what would we do without em?)!
The highlight of the trip was definitely our participation in the beginner Trialsworx competition, where the Leaders had the opportunity to show off their skills from a recent trials workshop with Ryan Leech out at Burnaby Mountain. Check out our flickr site AND our “I bike with Trips For Kids Vancouver” facebook group for some great photos of the trip!
